On the eve of Microsoft's Vista launch in DC, I organized an event bringing together Intel's vPro platform and Microsoft's Vista operating system.

At this black tie event, 220 System Integrators from the DC area and their spouses were invited to meet NA Microsoft President Bill Veghte and Intel Sales Director CJ Bruno.

I chose to hold the event, called 'Prelude to a New Day,' at the prestigious Kennedy Center.  Here are a few images of the event, where people experiened the new hardware and software, ate, drank and danced a little.

Ten Demo stations ran all evening, showing vPro and Vista in action.

Myself and master of ceremonies Anne Armstrong, Publisher of Federal Computer Week, announcing raffle winners.

One lucky guest won an Xbox 360!

First prize was a top of the line HP Core2Duo-based laptop.

I wanted giant V's to appear in the night sky over DC, and as you can see I got them!  V = Vista & vPro geddit?

Bill Veghte and CJ Bruno welcome guests.

We had a band, and yes there was dancing!

See!?

Intel field folk attended.

I brought in a fresh oyster bar, which seemed popular.

As the guests left, they were handed a goodie bag with a flash drive, pack of Victory V lozenges and a specially commissioned lambs wool scarf. A great time was had by all.
